What is scalp micropigmentation?
Scalp Micropigmentation is the depositing of pigment into the scalp in a fashion that replicates buzzed or shaved hair on the scalp. This procedure is done with predetermined pigment shades to match the surrounding existing hair. The deposits are inserted using tiny needle cartridges in a process similar to tattooing. This procedure is properly done in 2-4 sessions spaced about one week apart. It gives the look of a full head of hair that you have chosen to buzz or shave. This can also be used in conjunction with longer hair to give a fuller look. Consider Scalp Micropigmentation before undergoing hair restoration surgery. If you've already undergone hair restoration surgery, this treatment can give you the density that you didn't receive and can complete the results you are looking for. Candidates for this hair loss treatment are ones experiencing:
-Male Pattern Baldness -Female Hair Loss -Hair Transplant Scars (Strip and FUE) -Other Scarring (Accidental and Surgical) -Alopecia -Hair Transplants with Lack of Density |

About Mike
Around the age of 19, Mike first experienced the early stages of hair loss. By age 21, he had his first hair transplant procedure performed. For 20+ years, he had multiple strip and FUE surgeries. Even after the hair replacement surgeries, the hair still had to be styled in ways to conceal the fact that there still wasn't the density he desired. The hair couldn't be worn at shorter lengths due to the visible scarring on the back of the head. In early 2012 he discovered Scalp Micropigmentation. After extensive research, in May 2012 he traveled to New York City to start his treatments. At first, the treatment was desired to enhance the transplanted hair and to camouflage the scars. Fascinated with the results, he decided to keep the shaved look and decided to receive training and offer others in North Carolina the same benefits without the extensive and expensive travel. Hair loss options have been a major part of his adult life and he fully understands the negative side effects that are often experienced with hair loss.
